  • I don't like being told what to do.

In fact, that was the very reason I was hesitant to begin therapy myself all those years ago.

I was fearful that I would lose control of my journey, someone would try to dictate my treatment, and I would just be a passenger on the ride.

I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life.

We are a team in this and the goal is to discover together how best to make lasting changes.

I will not tell you what to do. What I will do is present alternatives, challenge you to think differently, and encourage you to try something new.

I have the roadmap and you get to pick the path that works best for you. It may be a little bumpy along the way but the destination is worth it.

    My Values

    Authenticity

It is very important to me that you feel comfortable in our sessions and can be your authentic self.

    Empathy

I truly value my relationships with my clients and work to provide a space for you to feel heard and understood.

    Autonomy

My goal is to give you freedom of choice in our sessions but to also help cultivate an independence that outlives the therapeutic process.

    About Bethany

    My Passion

Throughout my years of experience there is nothing I value more in my work than my relationships with my clients. It is truly where I find purpose and it brings me joy to see my clients progress in their goals. I have experience working with clients of all ages in both an inpatient and outpatient setting as well as in their homes.

    Education and Training

I received my bachelor’s degree from Cabrini University and went on to earn my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.

Since graduating, I received a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate and a Psychodyanmic Clinical Certificate from Bryn Mawr College in order to continue educating myself in the field. I also teach undergrads in the field of Social Work as an Adjunct Professor at Cabrini University.

I am licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Who am I outside the office?

You will often find me in the pool with my triathlon club or cycling along the Schuykill River Trail. I enjoy being active but I also love curling up with a good book and spending time with my dog, Kittel.

I spent most of my life in PA but I also go to Ocean City, NJ to see my family.
